More than recordings and concerts with impeccable arrangements, Casuarina reverberates the sounds and the sun of Lapa. Each song takes you into the atmosphere of the Centro Cultural Carioca, Arco da Velha, Semente, Carioca da Gema, Clube dos Democráticos - Even if you have never set foot in Rio and in these mythical places in the heart of the bohemian district and birthplace of the samba.
With 8 albums and several awards to their credit ("Best Samba Group" in 2010 and in 2017 by the Brazilian Music Prize), Casuarina, a true icon of the new generation of samba carioca, is a group constantly in motion and renewal !

Carried by the voice of Gabriel Azevedo, their latest opus "Casuarina 18 Anos Ao Vivo" (18 years Live), recalls their greatest career successes and presents a new title to the repertoire, "Meu Apelo ", by Wilson Moreira. The group injects a good dose of dynamism into the brilliant samba anthology of their repertoire and perpetuates a genre that has always been present in the rich history of Brazilian music. The new generation of samba composers is also honored.
