A tribute to the 60th anniversary of Vinicius & Baden’s anthology album: *Os Afro-Sambas* (1966)
This album set a new direction for Brazilian music: the guitar took on a percussive role, and the poetry gained a new depth, when, for the first time, the spirituality of the Candomblé terreiros entered Brazilian popular music in the most brilliant form.
The duo are currently recording an album, due for release in 2026 (Biscoito Fino label)

Luiz Flavio Alcofra is one of a generation of memorable Brazilian guitarists, composer, arranger and member of the groups Cordão do Boitatá, Água de Moringa and Época de ouro.
Marcos Sacramento and Luiz Flavio Alcofra have a rare artistic complicity. They understand each other through music in which sounds and verses interact, harmonise and complement each other; as if the voice of one and the guitar of the other were melting into an indissociable and harmonious whole. They have been working together since 2000, performing all over Brazil and in various countries in Europe, Africa and Latin America. A true meeting of talents, musical identities and styles.
In trio with Netinho Albuquerque on percussion, they offer a live performance of Marcos Sacramento's new album, 'ARCO' (to be released in 2024), with a repertoire of original or revisited tracks covering the various genres and great songwriters of Brazil's rich popular music, with the emphasis on samba and its plurality.
